Mariam Dagga - T Shirt

Mariam Abu Dagga was more than a journalist. She was a devoted mother, a loving daughter, and a steadfast voice for Gaza. Born in Khan Younis, she grew into a courageous visual journalist whose photographs carried the pain and resilience of her people to the world. Her lens captured the wounded, the displaced, and the children who bore the heaviest burdens of war.

Mariam’s life was marked by sacrifice long before her martyrdom. She gave one of her kidneys to save her father’s life, and with just one kidney she still ran towards danger with her camera in hand. Her compassion extended beyond her family to every soul she documented. Her son, Ghaith, was her heart and light. She sent him away for safety, even though it left her own heart aching with separation.

She faced each day of the war with courage. Exhausted, often hungry, and surrounded by devastation, Mariam still carried herself with strength. In her final words to her son she wrote, “Ghaith, the heart and soul of your mother, I want you to pray for me. Don’t cry over my death.”

On August 25, 2025, Mariam Abu Dagga attained martyrdom when an Israeli strike targeted Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. She had rushed, alongside her colleagues, to check on the injured after the first bombing, only to be struck down in the second.

This shirt honors Mariam as a martyr of truth. She stood unarmed, with only her camera, and left behind a legacy that will outlive bombs and bullets. May her memory remain alive in every heart that seeks justice, and may her voice never be forgotten.
